Delete Your EngineMon Account

This page explains how to delete your account with EngineMon (the enginemon.io website, the EngineMon phone app and the EngineMon device) and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete it yourself

  • On the website: sign in, open Settings > Profile and choose Delete account.
  • In the phone app: open Settings > Account and tap Delete account.

When it takes effect

You are signed out everywhere right away. Your account is deleted 30 days later, and we email the address on it when it is. Signing in during those 30 days cancels the deletion.

What is deleted

  • Your account: username, email address, phone number, password, Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple links, and your settings
  • Your sign-in sessions, API keys and the push notification registrations of your phones
  • Your access to cars you own or that were shared with you
  • Your dashboards, saved analysis views and custom labels
  • Your alert rules and alert history
  • Assistant chats and support tickets you started

What is kept, no longer linked to you

  • Recordings and sensor data from devices: they stay with the device and its car, for anyone else who has access to them.
  • Devices you owned stay registered, without an owner: whoever registers one next owns it.
  • The history of changes you made to a device’s settings (its name, Wi-Fi network names and disabled sensors, never a password): it stays with the device.
  • Your messages in chats and support tickets other people started, and tags you added to recordings.

What is kept as it is

Orders and payment records keep the email address and addresses they were placed with, as tax and financial regulations require. Server logs and backups may hold copies for a limited time, as our Privacy Policy describes.

Ask us to delete it

Can’t sign in, or don’t have the app? Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm the request with you at that address before deleting anything, and answer within 45 days.
